Join us for the October 14th AHA! as we celebrate celebrate the bounty and the buzz of the SouthCoast. Experience the works of local artists through collaborative shows & new gallery exhibitions as well as live music, historical lectures & of course plenty of opportunities to enjoy the bountiful array of Downtown eateries & shops.

Got kids? Check out the pumpkin decorating at Pilgrim UCC. The National Park’s 19th Century Ladies will be sure to entertain with pumpkin rolling contests, bobbing for apples and other games. & don’t forget the Ocean Explorium home to seahorses, jelly fish & so much more!

Looking for art? There are over 15 new & continuing shows to see at our downtown galleries, studios, stores & restaurants including an outdoor sculpture installation at the NB Whaling Museum, 2 exhibits featuring renowned ceramicist Chris Gustin & the Asylum series, photographs of an abandoned hospital, at the Garage.

Talks your thing? There’s “Fur, Fortune and Empire; The Epic History of the Fur Trade in America”, an illustrated lecture by author Eric Dolin at the Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum. The New Bedford Art Museum’s Art @ 8 series features a discussion around the new exhibit ‘In the Landscape’. Plus artist talks at Judith Klein Art Gallery & Crowell’s Fine Art.

Love live music? Check out the ever popular Open Mic at Cafe Arpeggio featuring The String Benders. Enjoy '200 Years and Still Friends': Scenes and songs performed by 5th & 6th graders from Friends Academy. Stop by the Garage for Mediterrabian Gypsy Funk w/Tevellus. Plus maritime melodies with Jon Cambell at Celtic Coffee House.

Just want to have fun? The Pour Farm Tavern continues its Ask the Brewer series. You can join the Fabulously 4 Birthday Celebration at Salon Lola. Enjoy wandering Cuban/Salsa musicians presented by the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center. Stop by Gallery X for tarot card readings. Plus New Bedford Festival Theatre presents A Bounty of Talent: a Celebration of Song!
