Come to the Arthur M. Sackler Museum and learn about the things that archaeologists dig up. Many of these objects are found in bits and pieces! Meet a conservator who works to put together fragments of ancient pots and other objects, and figure out how to reconstruct an object yourself.

Many of the objects on display in the Sackler’s galleries are thousands of years old. Visit different stations in the galleries to hear about how some of these objects were made and used in the past, how they were put back together, and what they can tell us about ancient history.

Location: Harvard Art Museums/Arthur M. Saclker Museum, 485 Broadway, Cambridge, MA

Held in conjunction with Massachusetts Archaeology Month. For more information about Archaeology Month and other programs held around the state, visit the Massachusetts Historical Commission website.
