Join us for the November 11th AHA! as we celebrate the performers & performances that help make Downtown NB such a vibrant place to live, work & play. It is also a month to visit furniture makers who craft seats and restaurants where seats are provided. Plus, join us in exploring the process of democratic elections and in honoring our Veterans.

Got kids? Check out the giant game of musical chairs on the Whaling Museum Plaza. The National Park’s 19th Century Ladies will be sure to entertain with a lively debate about women’s suffrage. Your Theatre will preview their upcoming holiday show “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at the Seamens’ Bethel. & don’t forget the Ocean Explorium home to seahorses, jelly fish & so much more!

Looking for art? There are over 15 new & continuing shows to see at our downtown galleries, studios, stores & restaurants including 4 exhibits at the New Bedford Art Museum, a Found Object show at Gallery X, a Veteran’s art exhibit at Artworks! & the Graduate Students Metal Art show at the Star Store.

Talks your thing? Slideshow & discussion about the intersection of green building & historic preservation at the Coalition for Buzzards Bay. The New Bedford Art Museum’s Art @ 8 series features a multimedia presentation by Nancy Train Smith about her Slocum River Fish installation. Plus an artist & gallerist talk on the exhibit “Head” at Crowell’s Fine Art.

Love live music? Check out the ever popular Open Mic at Cafe Arpeggio featuring Ellie & Seamus. Enjoy UMass Dartmouth's only a cappella choir, Mental Note, at the NB Art Museum. Stop by the Star Store for A Concert of Erhu and Guitar. Plus the HQZ Jazz Combo presented by the Zeiterion Theater & SouthCoast songwriter, Charlie Cover, at Celtic Coffee House.

Just want to have fun? LocalOracle.com & NewBedfordGuide.com present the Downtown New Bedford Scavenger Hunt. The Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum hosts a furniture making demonstration with Ted Curtin. Salvage designer Adrian Johnson invites you to 'please be seated' in one of his 'fridgecouches'. Artist Cheryl Henry will be demonstrating gilding at Artworks! & 'Two Chairs and a Pair', we invite you to 'please be seated' and have a conversation with someone you've never met before at Gallery X, Judith Klein Art Gallery, Crowell's Fine Art & Cumming's Artist Studios.

& of course eat & shop to your heart's content. AHA! partner eateries are serving up Mexican, Korean, Thai, award-winning chowder, the best buffalo wings in town, sushi, tapas & so much more. Looking to get your shop on? Our Downtown boutique stores will not disappoint if you are looking for something funky, beautiful, hand-made & unique.

& remember AHA! doesn’t end at 9pm! Enjoy entertainment and food at many AHA! partner restaurants after the clock strikes nine.
