Forty years ago on February 5, 1971, Alan Shepard became the fifth human to walk on the surface of the Moon. Along with fellow astronaut Ed Mitchell, Shepard explored the lunar surface in a rugged region known as the Far Mauro highlands. He even managed to get in a round of golf!

Following a special presentation of planetarium show Tonight’s Sky, Dr. Mark McConnell will guide you on a look back on the Apollo 14 mission, how it was conducted, and how it contributed to our understanding of the Moon.
