During Ben’s Appraisal Day, Colleene Fesko, of WGBH’s “Antiques Roadshow” and her colleague, Peter Murphy, will appraise furniture and paintings at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology. Ms. Fesko was the head of the Paintings’ Department at Skinner Auction House for 20 years, and now does independent appraisals.

Following the appraisal event at 2:30, Dr. Tim Orwig, a local historian, will present findings from his research on Richard Clipston Sturgis, the College’s architect in 1907. Sturgis also designed, among other buildings, Boston’s Federal Reserve Bank.
