Join us on AHA! night when Downtown New Bedford comes alive with Art, History and Architecture! On March 10th we celebrate the people and places, stories and songs that make New Bedford one of our favorite things. Hear about what people collect & visit one of the largest spaces for antiques in New England. Art New England magazine has made NB one of their favorite things and will be releasing their new issue on AHA! night.

Got kids? Check out the kid’s St. Patrick’s Day craft with Love Life Lens Photography at the NB Library. The National Park’s 19th Century Ladies will be sure to entertain with conversations about ‘playing ball’. The New Bedford Whaling Museum presents the ECHO Performing Arts Festival, a multi-cultural celebration of song, dance & story. Stop by the Judith Klein Art Gallery for recycled and found object collage activities. The First Unitarian Church offers up AHA! Family Faves! & don’t forget the Ocean Explorium home to seahorses, jelly fish & so much more!

Looking for art? There are over 15 new & continuing shows to see at our downtown galleries, studios, stores & restaurants. Check out Beauty in the Beast:an art show of, about, for and by animals at Gallery X. The New Bedford Library hosts works by UMass Junior Illustration Students. See ‘the Devil is in the Details’, photography by David A. Neitz at Ginger Grill. Plus the new exhibit Charles Boucher: Continuing Work at Crowell’s Fine Art.

Talks & films your thing? Stop by the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park where Arthur Bennett will be giving on talk on one of his favorite things---the National Park! The RJD presents the 2nd lecture in their Port Cities of New England series. Plus, excerpts from the film, Who Does She Think She Is?, a documentary by Academy Award winning filmmaker Pamela Tanner Boll, at the UMass Dartmouth Star Store.

Love live music? Check out the ever popular Open Mic at Cafe Arpeggio with this evenings Featured Performers & Fan Faves the sister duo 'Seeztahs' Enjoy music by Aoife Clancy at the Celtic Coffee House. Pilgrim United has the very popular UMass acapella group 'Mental Note”. Plus there’s plenty of entertainment at AHA! partner restaurants throughout the evening including DJ Colin Whatever spinning songs at the Pour Farm Tavern.

Just want to have fun? Don’t miss the South End Trolley Tours with Bruce Barnes & the NB Preservation Society & Open House at New England Demolition and Salvage! It’s My Fave: Collectors show & tell hosted by Shelley Cardoos at mediumstudio. Join the celebration at the NB Art Museum as Art New England Magazine launches it’s newest issuing featuring Focus on: NB! There will be artist demos all evening at the Judith Klein Art Gallery. Check out the grooving celebration that is Journey Dance at Artworks! Love Life Lens Photography offers mini-sessions with their spring rabbit. Plus, Pour Farm Tavern continues their Ask the Brewer Series with brew master Tom Ryan from the Cape Ann Brewing Co. .
