Do you find preparing and going to monologue auditions an overwhelming process? Do you often avoid them or dive into them wishing you were more prepared? In order to get called-backs and bookings, actors at all levels should have at least two contrasting monologues memorized, thoroughly prepared, and ready to deliver at a moment’s notice.

This class, taught by Jen Salvucci, will help actors “de-mystify” the process and master the monologue audition. It will cover selecting pieces that are right for you, crafting the audition to highlight your strengths, and specific techniques for delivering a successful audition.

Jennifer Salvucci is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has been a professional actress and children’s acting coach in the Los Angeles area for six years prior to returning to the Boston area. She holds BFA in Theater Performance from Chapman University, with an emphasis on acting for the camera. She has collaborated on many original children’s musicals and has served as director, vocal coach, stage manager, and choreographer for several Los Angeles based children’s theater companies.
