Local experts lead tours on cobblestone streets, docks and lesser known byways. June 9th is also the Day of Portugal’s annual celebration and the festivities stretch across the Downtown!
Got kids? Celebrate the Day of Portugal with a flag raising & parade. Walk, skip, gallop or run to the open house at the First U. NB School. Generation Transformation is a celebration of amazing products created by NB youth. & don’t forget the Ocean Explorium home to seahorses, jelly fish & Coming Soon sharks & rays!
Looking for art? There are over 15 new & continuing shows to see at our downtown galleries, studios, stores & restaurants including Rogue: Street Art at UGLYgallery, Polish Posters at the UMass Dartmouth CVPA Star Store, New Bedford Through the Lens at NB Art Museum & John Robson: Landscapes at Crowell’s Fine Art.
Talks & films your thing? Take the Curator’s Tour at the NB Art Museum. Stop by the Ask the Brewer presentation at the Pour Farm Tavern. Or take in the screening of “Hit and Run History” at the NB Whaling Museum.
Love live music? Check out the ever popular Open Mic at Cafe Arpeggio with this evenings Featured Performer Riz. Centre Street Sessions is back with McCarthy, Legge & Friends! Plus there’s plenty of entertainment at AHA! partner restaurants throughout the evening including DJ Colin Whatever spinning songs at the Pour Farm Tavern & Evil, Almond & Faris at No Problemo.
