Directed by Fran Weinberg, this intensive features an exciting range of both comedic and tragic scenes from all around the world performed by seasoned teenage actors building upon their prior training and stage experience.
The actors undergo vigorous physical, vocal, and emotional training that helps them push beyond their comfort zones to achieve a higher level of genuineness on stage. The actors receive careful attention to their individual strengths and weaknesses and are challenged to take risks with their work.
The focus of the program is on deepening ensemble and individual character development skills through working on wide variety of scenes from some of the most well regarded plays in history. Selections include scenes from Euripedes’s Helen, Moliere’s Learned Ladies, Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, and Shaw’s Arms and The Man.
