Join us on AHA! Night when Art, History & Architecture come alive in New Bedford! On September 8th join us in celebrating the rich diversity of NB Cultures through the arts, stories and foods of the many groups who help create the fabric of New Bedford and make it the authentic city that it is.

Got kids? Skip up the hill for some multi-cultural fun at the First Unitarian Church. Pilgrim UCC hosts a Polish Exhibit including egg decorating, a tasting table & accordion music.

Paint planters for the 9/11 Day of Remembrance at the NB Art Museum. Stop by the the Downtown Farmers Market & grab a healthy snack or visit the 19th Century Ladies & the
Malassada Connection for a not-so-healthy snack.

Looking for art? There are over 15 new & continuing shows to see at our downtown galleries, studios, stores & restaurants including Artist Couples at Judith Klein Art Gallery, Through the Eyes of the Artist: a seniors art show at Artworks!, & the last opportunity to see the Polish Poster show at the UMass Dartmouth CVPA Star Store Gallery. Plus Rose Alley Ale House hosts a 'Fresh Paint' Meet & Greet with artists of New Bedford Open Studios.

Talks your thing? Janice Hodson presents a lecture Faces from the Past: An Overview of the New Bedford Free Public Library's Photograph Collection at the NB Art Museum. The Working Waterfront Festival screens the film Our Fishing Heritage in the National Park Corson Theater. The NB Library hosts a genealogy lecture with Alfred Saulniers & Paul Cyr. The NB Preservation Society presents Mansions of the Textile Men on the terrace of the Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum.

Love live music? Check out the ever popular Open Mic at Cafe Arpeggio, this evening celebrating it's 7 Year Anniversary with Featured Performers, Art Tebbetts & Dancing Eyebrows. Centre Street Sessions wraps up another great season with Andy McWain and the Blueprint Ensemble! Cork Wine & Tapas presents guitarist Peter Arteaga playing Cape Verdean & Brazilian music. Our Lady of Guadalupe Choir will be performing traditional Spanish tunes at the Seamen's Bethel. Plus there’s plenty of entertainment at AHA! partner restaurants throughout the evening including DJ Colin Whatever spinning songs at the Pour Farm Tavern & Evil, Almond & Faris at No Problemo.

Just want to have fun? Capoeira Brasil Boston presents a Brazilian martial arts demonstration on the Whaling Museum Plaza. Check out the Multi-media Poetry reading and Open Mic at Artworks! Uglygallery hosts the Annual 3rd EyE Art Auction. Be Yoga presents Funk & Flow: Hip Hop Yoga with a live DJ at the Garage. Partake in the Culture of Beer at the Pour Farm Tavern. Plus an Underground Railroad Walking Tour, an Architectural Preservation Trolley Tour & so much more!

& of course eat & shop to your heart's content. AHA! partner eateries are serving up Mexican, Korean, Thai, award-winning chowder, the best buffalo wings in town, sushi, tapas & so much more.
