Continuing BMV’s tradition of commissioning new music for listeners of all ages, Boston composers Patrick Greene and Michael Gandolfi give Aesop’s “The Tortoise and the Hare” and “The Pied Piper” a fresh spin.
The talented young percussionists of The Marimba Magic Ensemble from The Rivers School Conservatory and New England Cable News anchor Steve Aveson join BMV’s professional musicians in an inspiring, all-ages introduction to classical chamber music. Appropriate for age 4+.
Before the concert, get into the groove—slow and steady or quick and bold—with hands-on, interactive storytelling games led by our promotional partner Knucklebones – 'inspiring athletics for all ages… for the love of play!'
*Pre-concert activities begin at 2:00pm; concert begins at 3:00pm. Reception to follow concert.
