Mother and Daughter Tales, pt. II (Saturday, June 9, 2-4pm): Children (age 7-10) read and discuss together tales from around the world, participate in fun word finds, and try (optional) pottery painting inspired by the story.

The Barefoot Books of Mother & Daughter Tales offers a rich array of meaningful tales of mothers and daughters from around the world, from the familiar Naomi and Ruth story of Jewish tradition, to lesser known Chinese and Iroquois stories. Ages 7-10.

Club is FREE; book purchase and pottery discounted for participants. Pre-register to attend; Limit of 8 children.

Barefoot Books is located at 89 Thoreau Street in the Concord Depot. Taking the MBTA's Fitchburg commuter rail line to the 'Concord' stop brings you across the street from our Studio. If driving, we are just 30 minutes northwest of Boston. Take Route 2W to Rte. 62E (RH turn at lighted intersection). Follow <1 mile to another lighted intersection; turn right onto Thoreau Street. Barefoot Books is 2 blocks ahead on your LH side. Free parking in lot alongside our building or in lot directly across Thoreau Street (in spots facing the street). Ample metered street parking.
