Join us weekends in April for flora-infused art activities. Shake off the winter blues and welcome a new season with art.
Weekend of Apr. 27-28: Spring at the Gardner
Join us for an introduction to the craft of embroidery. Studio educators will teach basic stitches that you can use on fabric and felt. Using floral templates drawn from textiles in the Gardner collection, we will stitch Renaissance-style compositions with a contemporary twist. This activity is recommended for visitors 13 and up. No pre-registration is required, but space is limited.
Weekends from May 4-26: Zorn!
Weekend activities in May are inspired by the Swedish artist Anders Zorn. Make your way to the second floor special exhibition of Zorn’s work for a shot of creative energy, then come to the Studio to try out such projects as faux-etching and regal portrait collages.
