This class is more than just simply putting flowers in a vase; it is a disciplined art form where the arrangement is considered a living entity where nature and humanity are brought together.
Steeped in the philosophy of developing closeness with nature, the Ikebana style of flower arranging is over 600 years old and contains philosophical and symbolic meaning that students will explore.
Taught by professional Ikebana instructor Russell Bowers, students will learn the tools and techniques they need to create their own Ikebana arrangement and what it takes to create an aesthetic connection between nature and art.
Every student will leave class with a unique arrangement to beautify their homes with.
To sign up for this exclusive opportunity, students can register online or call the Boston Center for Adult Education at 617-267-4430.
