What a World offers a captivating look at DÜNYA (the Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Greek word for “world”), a Boston-based musicians' collective which has explored a wide range of music from around the world since its founding in 2004.
The film features the ensemble’s concert performance of 20th century Istanbul music with interviews with the musicians, providing revealing insights on their diverse backgrounds and the surprising cultural and musical links between Boston and Turkey.
This event will feature a brief discussion before and after the screening.
