26 at 2:00 p.m. and Thursday, Oct 30 at 6:30 p.m., the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum will hold the first in a series of collection conversations to complement the Donatello, Michelangelo, Cellini: Sculptors' Drawings from Renaissance Italy exhibition.
This half-hour gallery discussion led by the Gardner staff, will explore connections between the current special exhibition and works of art in the Museum's permanent collection.
The Naked and the Dead discusses how artists explore the possibilities of the human figure.
Tickets are free with Museum admission.
Museum admission is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors, $5.00 for students with valid IDs; and youth age 18 and under are free.
A series of related public programs will complement the Donatello, Michelangelo, Cellini: Sculptors' Drawings from Renaissance Italy exhibition, and will present new findings and insights from scholars of history and art history, conservators, and artists.
