The Milford Improvement Team’s Executive Director, Wendy Hunt, said that “MIT is very pleased to bring back an arts festival to the Town of Milford this year.
In 2013, after hosting an art show for over 30 years, the Keyes Art Group discontinued having its annual event.
The Milford Improvement Team saw a need for arts in the community,” she said, “ and MIT is really looking forward to bringing local fine art to an expanded audience, and that there really is so much talent in the Milford area.” She also said that many of the musical entertainers scheduled to perform at the arts festival, are some the area’s best known and favorite performers, such as PB & Jammin’, Amy Conley on the guitar, banjo, harmonica and more, The Kukuleles, Derek Fimble, Marlena Phillips, Voices of Hope, and Riverbend.
Attendees will also enjoy performances by Vouli Dance, Kathy Blake Dance Studio, Tokyo Joe’s and others!!
The Milford Arts Festival will be held rain or shine both outdoors in and around the Oval, as well as indoors up in the Historic Town Hall Auditorium.
There is also a Children’s Art contest for 4 different age groups, starting at the pre-school level, all the way up to high school students.
