Do you like middle eastern food?
Please join us in an evening of delicious middle eastern food, activities for children, and speakers on the refugee crisis in Europe and the middle east.
We’ll ask each family to donate $20. Our collection will go to Oxfam, an organization already on the ground with refugees in Greece.
We’ll hear from Angela Kelly who just returned from Greece where she delivered supplies to
refugees and from Jeff Klein from Dorchester People for Peace who will talk about political factors affecting the refugee crisis.
Many community groups are participating to show support for refugees. Currently these include:
- Dorchester People for Peace, Dot Art,
- Dot on Books,
- First Parish Church, the Center for Arabic Culture,
- International Institute, and local middle eastern restaurants
For information call Dorchester People for Peace at 617-698-0774.
