DrawnCon is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to support of education in the arts, specifically animation and cartooning.
We seek to bring potential future animators, and those with industry experience together in a very real way, and to provide value to these interested future animators, as our mission is to help foster the next generation of animators being inspired by the fantastic content that has been re-surging as of late.
Our VIPs and Speakers are all those involved in some way in the animation industry, and we attempt to bring in people from all walks of life; from independent, small animators, writers and producers to those with years of experience in the industry with major companies and firms.
We seek to bring unique content that can't be found anywhere else in a truly engaging way through events such as workshops, Q&A sessions, tutorials, and other hands-on and question based learning methods.
Historically the event has pulled 200 - 300 attendees.
In our inaugural season in 2013, we had Jessica DiCicco (Voice Actor), Alex S.
(Music Producer), Bob Flynn (Artist / Animator / Designer), and Noah Scammon (Voice Actor / Writer / Director / Animator).
In our second season in 2014, we had Dante Basco (Voice Actor), Jennifer Hale (Voice Actor), Noah Scammon (Voice Actor / Writer / Director / Animator), Adam WarRock (Music Producer), and Bryan Nieman (Reviewer / Critic / Analyst).
Each of these unique guests has always brought something big to the table, and has interacted with our attendees on an intimate level hard to otherwise find.
This year since we're partnering with Northeastern University, we're trying to bring together local talent to provide an even more focused perspective on the Boston animation scene.
