The exhibit will feature a once-in-a-lifetime showcase of exquisite Renaissance manuscripts and printed books that are often hidden from display.
The vivid, jewel-colored paintings include popes, princes and scions of Italian dynasties, and were painted by leading artists as one-of-a-kind luxury items during the Renaissance period.
Visitors of this Third Thursday event will appreciate Isabella Stewart Gardner’s wide-ranging love of reading.
The monthly Third Thursday events at the Museum - named The Boston Calendar’s “Best Museum/Gallery Event” - are a relaxing mix of artful activities, drinks, and music with a different theme each month.
Café G will be open for snacks, dinner and drinks.
There will also be a cash bar around the Courtyard.
The event runs from 5:30 PM to 9 PM.
