There are so many elements to being cast in a project that are out of the actors control: you're too tall, too short, too blonde, etc. These are things that we can't change, but there is one thing actors can and need to control...How we perform in the audition room!
Insecurities and nerves can dominate an actor's thoughts and therefore block the ability to focus on the thoughts of the character they are auditioning for.
To combat this common pitfall this class will introduce students to the 'Thought Method' where an actor breaks down what their character is thinking from moment to moment in order to stop having negative self-talk.
