In this hands-on design workshop series led by architects from BSA Space, students will learn about the women that have shaped the designed world from furniture to urban planning.
Each week we will explore a different design discipline and learn about the pioneering women who influenced and created some of our most beautiful and livable places and spaces including Jane Jacobs, Ray Eames, Zaha Hadid and Maya Lin.
Using art, math, social studies, science and language arts skills, each class will include a hands-on design project (including drawing and/or model building) based on the theme of the week.
This program is for students in grade five–seven.
This event is the first in a series of four workshops.
