From the Top, the nationally-distributed NPR program and podcast that showcases the talents and stories of young classically-trained musicians, will record a new broadcast at New England Conservatory’s (NEC) Jordan Hall in Boston on Wednesday, July 31 at 7:00 PM in partnership with Morningside Music Bridge.

Guest Host/cellist Paul Katz will interview and perform with young artists from around the world who are all studying at the Morningside Music Bridge program in residence at NEC this summer.

The concert taping is free and open to the public.

Performances will include:

Handel’s Sonata for two cellos in G minor, Opus 2, No.8

Chopin – Ballade #2, op. 38 in F

Cassado – Suite for solo cello – I – Fantasia

Brahms Clarinet/Viola Sonata Op. 120 no. 1, Mvt. 3 – Allegretto grazioso

Karol Szymanowski – Three Myths, Op. 30 – I.

The Fountain of Aresthusa

Ludwig van Beethoven – Piano Trio in D Major Op. 70, No 1 “Ghost’, Mvt. 1 – Allegro
