Join us as we celebrate the legacy and leadership of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Come explore America, A Hymnal, the writings of Sarah Parker Remond, David Boxer’s The Black Books and other works that examine social justice, identity and freedom across the generations.
Programming begins at 1 pm. All visitors enjoy free admission for the day!

Learn how to make your own fluid acrylics masterpiece with a local artist!
To allow for instructor demonstrations, this activity is offered once every half hour for groups of no more than 20 people. Please reserve your same-day ticket at the Admissions or Information desks.
About the Artist: Self-taught fluid acrylics artist and instructor Rahim Gray was born and raised in Dorchester. He says “I like that I must relinquish control when making a piece because of the power of gravity and the formlessness of liquid.
Fluid art challenges me – it has no fixed shape, and when sheer force is applied, it cannot resist.” His art is influenced by music and current events.
