There are great expectations for this new year. The Dragon is a supernatural being that symbolizes power, nobleness, honor, luck and success in traditional Chinese culture. In addition this year, the Dragon’s qualities of excellence are enhanced by the converging of the elements of wood and fire.
New Art Center’s Lunar New Year celebration is part of the organization’s Community Cultural Days series, which provides increased community outreach through diverse and inclusive programming. These free programs are partially supported by the Mass Cultural Council and the Newton Cultural Council.
