This symphony, which blends Turkish traditional, western classical, and jazz music, follows a seventeenth-century Ottoman world traveler, Evliya Çelebi, reflecting the cosmopolitan identity of this Muslim adventurer and celebrating the rich history and cultural diversity within Islam.
Throughout the performance, Sanlıkol will be in conversation with Radio Boston host Tiziana Dearing.
In-person attendees will enjoy coffee and cookies in the lobby after the event.
