GET HAPPY!Like the title encourages and with a hat tip to the Garland/Streisand piece we’ll be enlivening, it’s time to realize that…Happy Days Are Here Again luxuriating out in front of us in a concert format that will thrill our members and delight our audiences.
The Get Happy theme will drive both our fall and spring offerings, with crowd pleasers like our Kids Choir version of Ob-La-Di, Ob -La-Da by the Beatles and our Teens’ fierce rendering of Andy Grammar’s Don’t Give Up on Me - not to mention Stuck on a Feeling...just think of the “ooga-chucka” backbeat.
Sound & Spirit celebrates world music and rhythmic challenge of Zambian Bonse Aba and pivots just as comfortably to a triumphant and challenging setting of Don’t Rain on My Parade from the Broadway smash, Funny Girl.
Did we mention a tribute to The Greatest Showman with From Now On and A Million Dreams and This is Me - guaranteed to bring down the house!
