Common Ground will be hosted and moderated by Naomi Slip, Chief Curator at the Whaling Museum.
Join us at 6:00pm for the listening hour featuring internationally renowned djembefola Sidy Maiga and köra player Yacouba Diabaté.
After the listening hour, experience the joy of learning some drum beats from the djembe master himself, alongside other curious learners on drums that he’ll provide (limited number available – early ticket buyers get first pick).
Attendees will also be able to enjoy a cocktail social and will have full access to all museum galleries.
