Dive into darkness
A pair of powerful works casts light into darkness.
From Jose Limon’s The Moor’s Pavane, exploring the central drama of Shakespeare’s Othello, to a world premiere set to Schubert’s Death and the Maiden played live by Aurea Ensemble, this double feature offers a dive into darkness.
The Moor’s Pavane
Chor: Jose Limón
“A totally engrossing work and likely to remain among Mr. Limón's most enduring ballets” -The New York Times
Jose Limón’s iconic Moor’s Pavane conveys the jealousy, rage and relationships of the characters at the heart of Shakespeare’s Othello, within the setting of a stately court dance among them.
