We are overjoyed to welcome you to Asian Community Development Corporation’s (ACDC) Opening Celebration of Hudson Street Stoop’s (HSS) second exhibit, Dancing Dragon by Katherine Chin and Parke MacDowell!Hudson Street Stoop (HSS) is an ACDC ANCHOR project where artists and residents co-create temporary art installations that transform One Greenway Park into an activated and inclusive neighborhood “stoop.” Our goals are to create art that reminds working-class individuals and families that they belong and that honors the rich history of Chinatown.
Inspired by traditional Chinese dragon dance, Dancing Dragon consists of a steel pavilion with a meandering canopy structure providing seating, shade, and armature for community activity.
We are excited to share this event with you and invite you to join us in celebrating this community program that we are proud to support.
This FREE and family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, refreshments, arts and crafts, and an opportunity to meet the installation artists.
