Debra Britt has been studying, collecting, and making dolls that represent the whole diaspora of African and African American cultures for most of her life, and she brings that expertise to this engaging, hands-on program.
Here you will make your own Wrap Doll – one that represents you – to take home, while also learning about the history of the dolls.
You will also be able to explore the museum, including an exhibit from the National Black Doll Museum of History and Culture currently on display.
This program is recommended for ages 10+ and adults.
