This enchanting afternoon of storytelling begins with the BFO's own pianist, Ruoting Li, as soloist, bringing to life Qigang Chen’s Franco-Chinese masterpiece Er Huang.
The orchestra then takes center stage to perform Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, a four-movement adventure inspired by the Arabian Nights tale of a woman who cleverly saves her own life by spinning fantastical stories for the Sultan over 1000 nights.
You won’t want to miss the breathtaking conclusion of the BFO’s fourth season!
