# On Saturday, September 19, 2009, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Memorial Congregational Church, the Collegium will conduct auditions for the following positions: one male lead vocalist
# one female lead vocalist
# bassist
# Strings: violin, viola, cello
# Woodwinds: all, especially clarinet and saxophone
# Brass: French Horn, trumpet, and trombone

Technical skill and experience requirements:
ALL MUSICIANS:
# You must have reached an intermediate level on your instrument
# Strong preference for musicians currently taking lessons
# You must be able to read standard musical notation
# Be able to commit to weekly Monday evening rehearsals, occasional Saturdays.
# Occasional Sunday performances in MCC worship
# Major concert scheduled Saturday June 12, 2010
Singers:
# Good strong singing voice, on pitch
# Good stage presence and theatrical sense
# Able to learn music quickly and to memorize lyrics
# Willing to sing backup vocals
Bassists:
# Electric bass with your own amplification
# Strong preference for experience with double bass and electric bass skills
Percussion
# Classical (orchestra and/or band) training extremely important; timpani experience very desirable.
# Drum kit abilities desirable.
# Note reading requirement above.
Woodwinds
# Classical (orchestra and/or band) training extremely important.
# Saxophone, clarinet, and bassoon very desirable.
# Note reading requirement above.
Brass
# Classical (orchestra and/or band) training extremely important.
# Trumpet, trombone, French horn very desirable.
# Note reading requirement above.
