Calling all rock stars: the first annual High School Band Brawl, presented by the Rock the Plaza outdoor concert series at Patriot Place, is looking for the best high school bands in New England to contend in a head-to-head competition at Gillette Stadium at 11 a.m. on June 13
, 2010.
Selected high school bands will battle it out for the title of best band in New England, performing 15-minute sets of original music on stage at the Plaza at Patriot Place. A panel of judges will select the winner based on overall sound, stage presentation and fan support and reaction.
The winning band will receive a donation to its high school’s music program, a chance to open for popular Boston band Keep Me Conscious, and a guest spot on the Totally Patriots television program – a half hour show geared toward the younger generation of Patriots fans, airing Sundays during the NFL season on WBZ-TV (Channel 4) in Boston.
Also on June 6, Gillette Stadium will be home to the second annual Totally Patriots Talent Search (www.TotallyPatriots.com), in which aspiring television hosts will compete to be special guest hosts on Totally Patriots.
All bands seeking consideration for the Band Brawl must complete the submission process by May 21, 2010, and finalists will be selected and notified at the end of May.
