The 2007-2008 Mainstage season opens with Gypsy: A Musical Fable, directed by Caitlin Lowans and music directed by Todd Gordon. This production has nine roles for teens and seven roles for children ages 6-12.

Teens who are strong singers and dancers are welcome to attend out first round of auditions on Monday, April 30th where we will be seeking to fill the following roles: Teen Boys: Tulsa (late teens to twenty- especially dance-heavy role); three Newsboys/ Farmboys--Angie, Yonkers and L.A. (fifteen to seventeen) Teen Girls: Dainty June (fifteen to seventeen- triple threat); four Hollywood Blondes-- Agnes, Marjorie May, Geraldine and Dolores (fifteen-nineteen). Auditions for children ages 6-12 will be held later in May. We will send out an announcement for the children's auditions at that time. Please do not contact us regarding the children's auditions at this time.

Audition Date/ Time: Monday, April 30th, 2007, 10:00am-1:30pm; 2:30pm-6:00pm
Audition Location: Stoneham Theatre, 395 Main Street, Stoneham MA

Audition Requirements: 32 bars up-tempo classic Broadway; those auditioning for Dainty June should also prepare a ballad

Rehearsals begin Tuesday, August 21st and continue through Wednesday, September 12th.
Production runs Thursday, September 13th through Sunday, September 30th (with a possible one-week extension).
