Concord Conservatory of Music Audition Date- String Ensemble
The Concord Conservatory of Music’s (CCM) fall placement audition date for String Ensembles and Rock Labs is Friday, September 8th from 4:15 - 6:30 pm.
CCM string ensembles and rock labs meet on Fridays.
Students will be expected to play two scales, a prepared piece of their choice, and sight-read a piece.
Join a performance-based group with others of similar age or skill level.
Choose from classical chamber music, to rock or jazz.
Playing in an ensemble allows for great skill development and improvement.
We welcome students ages 9 -13 who have some basic note-reading experience.
CCM offers two string ensembles based on ability.
Students can expect to perform with the ensemble the entire year.
Students not participating in private instruction at CCM are welcome to join the CCM string ensembles.
Attention guitarists, bassists, keyboard players, drummers and singers!
How about a no-pressure ensemble to get your jamming skills down?
We'll match you up with players of similar age and level who are interested in playing the same kinds of music that you would like to play.
The instructor will teach songs through written music and recordings as well as teaching you improvising techniques.
Rock Lab I for students 9 through 12 years old should be familiar with chords and the blues scale.
Percussion, guitar, electric bass, saxophone, and trumpet players are all encouraged to join.
The Rock Lab does not replace individual instrument instruction, but rather teaches how to play and improve together as a band.
CCM offers a 15% discount off any ensemble tuition for CCM students already enrolled in private instruction at CCM.
