Mayor Walsh and the City of Boston will celebrate Black History Month in February with the following events:
Mayor Martin J. Walsh, the Mayor's Office of Resilience and Racial Equity, the Mayor's Office of Diversity, and the City of Boston's Black Employee Network (B.E.N) today announced a series of events in honor of Black History Month.
Starting on Monday, the City will be hosting special events year-round celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of the black community, and acknowledging black leaders, activists and trailblazers who fought for equality and inclusion.
The public is encouraged to attend the events and participate on social media with the hashtag #MoreThanAMonth. All events are free and open to all.
