Scott Skinner, president of The Drachen Foundation and board member of the Blue Hill Observatory Science Center will teach participants how to build a replica kite. The Eddy is a diamond design which features a bow that makes the kite very stable. The materials and design are the same as used here at BHO in the 1890s.

The kit requires sewing. Please bring a sewing machine if possible. This program blends the construction of your kite with a history lesson and discussions about engineering. It is geared for ages 14 and above. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
