More than 15,000 books will be for sale on the Main Library lawn. Browsing categories include “mystery/sci fi,” “theatre,” “biography,” “sports,” “history,” business,” “cooking,” and “foreign language.” The popular children’s book browsing area will be expanded this year.
Hardback books are $2, trade paperbacks $1, and mass market paperbacks four for $1. Children’s hardbacks are $1.
The Friends of the Concord Free Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Friends book sales and memberships fund all movie DVDs, music CDs, books on CD, and museum passes for both libraries. The Friends also sponsor children’s programs, concerts, poetry readings, author talks, and films at the Main and Fowler libraries.
The regular sale starts at 10 a.m. with a silent auction of special titles from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., and a live auction beginning at 9:15, all on the Main Library lawn, 129 Main Street. The rain date is June 13. To see the catalog of auction items, visit www.concordlibrary.org.
