The Friends of the Blackstone Public Library will hold its fall book sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. Donation days to drop off used books are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., for the two weeks preceding the event.

Bring your pre-carved pumpkin and enter the carving contest. The public will cast votes for their favorite entry and the winner will win a prize at the end of the book sale. All children who come dressed in a Halloween costume will get one free children's book from the sale.

Donations requested:
All kinds of materials will be accepted with the following exceptions: Reader's Digest condensed books, textbooks, magazines, encyclopedias more than five years old, books with mold or mildew, VHS tapes. Books that are not accepted for the book sale can be dropped off at the 'Got Books' box at the Blackstone recycling center any time.
