Wenham native Paul Harding, winner of the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for the novel Tinkers, will read excerpts and sign books at the Wenham Museum on Saturday, June 19th at 11 a.m.

During Harding’s childhood in Wenham, he 'knocked about in the woods' developing an appreciation for nature, and he apprenticed under his grandfather fixing clocks --- both elements used in Tinkers, his award-winning debut novel.

Publishers Weekly reviewed Tinkers as “[An] outstanding debut...This is an especially gorgeous example of novelistic craftsmanship.” And the Library Journal called it “[A] beautifully written study of father-son relationships and the nature of time.”

The Wenham Museum is a family-friendly museum of social history exploring how we have lived, worked, dressed, and played from the 17th century to today. The museum features the Claflin-Richard House c.1690, a world-renowned doll collection, dollhouses, costumes and textiles, model trains, toys, historic photographs, the interactive Family Discovery Gallery as well as special exhibits.
The Museum is located at 132 Main Street in Wenham, MA, (978) 468-2377, www.wenhammuseum.org. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is $7 for adults, and $5 for children ages 1-16
