The Blue Bunny Bookstore in Dedham Square will host a booksigning event with well-known author and illustrator David Biedrzycki on Saturday May 21st, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Biedrzycki will be introducing his new picture book, Me and My Dragon, from Charlesbridge Publishing, about a boy who wants a pet dragon and has plans for taking care of it. The book is geared toward preschool and early elementary-aged children.

Biedrzycki has been creating illustrations for book publishers, advertising agencies, magazines, and design firms since 1980. His art has graced the cover of KidSoft magazine, New England Aquarium billboards and children's software packaging, such as 'The Amazon Trail' and 'Odell Down Under.' His clients include Celestial Seasonings, After the Fall Juices, IBM, and Newsweek.

Biedrzycki is well-known for his Ace Lacewing books, and his collaborations with Jerry Pallotta, including The Beetle Alphabet Book, The Freshwater Alphabet Book, and The Boat Alphabet Book. His detailed artwork are stories are vibrant, fun and full of surprises. All ages welcome, free.

Take Route 95/128 north to Dedham Route 1 (exit 15A). Follow Route 1 for about a mile. At the 4th traffic light (by Staples), take a left onto Eastern Ave. Public parking lot immediately on the right hand side. Take a left and you’ll be on High Street. Dedham Community Theater is on the left. You’ll find The Blue Bunny across the street on the right.
