Steve will do short story and essay readings from My Life in Heavy Metal, Rock and Roll Will Save Your Life, and (Not That You Asked) in the New Art Center’s main gallery. Almond will also be signing and selling first edition titles at reduced prices. This event is free and open to the public.
Steve Almond is the New York Times bestselling author of the story collections My Life in Heavy Metal and The Evil B.B. Chow, the novel Which Brings Me to You (with Julianna Baggott), and the non-fiction books Candyfreak, (Not That You Asked), and Rock and Roll Will Save Your Life. He is also, crazily, self-publishing books. In 2011, Lookout Press will publish his story collection, God Bless America.
