The day begins with brunch at 11am with Henriques, the New York Times senior financial writer whose book, The Wizard of Lies – Bernie Madoff and the Death of Trust, adds significant detail to the Madoff story. Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Hank Phillippi Ryan will lead the conversation.
Bestselling thriller writers Joseph Finder (Buried Secrets), Len Rosen (All Cry Chaos) and Douglas Starr (The Killer of Little Shepherds: A True Crime Story and the Birth of Forensic Science) discuss their novels at 1pm. The roundtable discussion will be led by James Fox, professor of criminology, law and public policy at Northeastern University and Boston Globe crime and punishment columnist.
Authors Adam Schwartz (A Stranger on the Planet – A Novel), Robert Strauss (Daddy’s Little Goalie), Stuart Hecht (Transposing Broadway: Jews, Assimilation, and the American Musical), Judy Gelman and Peter Zheutlin (The Unofficial Mad Men Cookbook) discuss their books at 2:30pm.
Finally, an informational session on how to write and publish children’s books featuring children’s book author Jane Kohuth (Estie the Mensch) takes place at 4pm.
