10:30 am – 12:00 pm Science Discovery Museum Come learn about viruses and vaccines!
Participants in this Science Book and Activities Club session will receive a copy of the third adventure in the Galactic Academy of Science series, The Vicious Case of the Viral Vaccine.
At the workshop, participants will discuss the book and participate in activities ranging from seeing how germs spread, to playing with probability, growing microbes on agar, and playing a Virus Wars card game.Each child goes home with a book, as well as their own agar plate and informational card game.
Instructor: Pendred Noyce - author Ages: 8 to 12
Fee: $24 for members; $28 for non-members; book and activities included.
