Afterward, attendees may want to walk over to the Parkman Bandstand for a free 8:00 performance of Shakespeare’s “The Two Gentlemen of Verona.” The rain date is July 24.
The event is free of charge and family-friendly, and nonmembers are encouraged to attend.
From 5:30 to 7:30, attendees will share a potluck picnic at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and enjoy light sports such as frisbee and touch football.
Those who wish may stay for Shakespeare.
Bookbuilders’ previous two summer networking events were well attended and afforded many networking opportunities.
Bookbuilders of Boston is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing together people in book publishing and manufacturing throughout New England.
Though the event is free of charge, Bookbuilders requests an RSVP at bbboston.org from those planning to attend.
Cancellation of the evening’s Shakespeare performance will mean postponement of the networking event to July 24, when the play will still be running.
To check for cancellation due to weather, see the website of the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company at http://www.commshakes.org/performances/shakespeare-on-the-common.
