Author Krystyna Poray Goddu will give a lunchtime talk on the poet’s life at Pig + Poet restaurant at Whitehall, plus offer an evening reading for overnight hotel guests from her new book, A Girl Called Vincent.
Goddu will speak about the life and works of famed poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay, including the moment she was discovered during at a party at Whitehall in 1912.
Guests are invited to enjoy a lunch of modern, locally-inspired dishes at the restaurant, as well as a chance to explore the hotel’s rambling porches, enjoy a drink on the patio, or play a game of shuffleboard on the lawn.
In the evening, there will be a book reading from Goddu’s acclaimed biography for young adults, A Girl Called Vincent.
Overnight package guests will receive an exclusive reading from the book in the evening, plus a Millay-inspired cocktail.
A small-plates breakfast in the morning is included in the room rate.
Whitehall and Pig + Poet are located at 52 High Street, just a short stroll from Camden’s charming village center.
