The 2007 tournament is sponsored by the Boston Centers for Youth & Families Recreation Unit, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, and the Boston Bruins Foundation.
The game is played on in-line roller skates following the same rules as ice hockey. A plastic ball is used instead of a puck, and helmets and padding are required.
The series features three divisions for boys and girls in age groups 6 to 8, 9 to 11, and 12 to 14. Elimination rounds will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at Garvey Playground in Dorchester; Saturday, June 2, at Joe Moakley Park in South Boston; Saturday, June 9, at Fallon Field in Roslindale; Saturday, June 16, at Ryan Playground in Charlestown; and finals on Saturday, June 23, at Porzio Park in East Boston.
