Mayor Thomas M. Menino has announced that registration is now open for the seventh season of the Boston Neighborhood Soccer League (BNSL) sponsored by Comcast and presented by the BCYF Recreation Department in partnership with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association.

The BNSL provides city youngsters ages 8 to 16 with the opportunity to play in organized citywide competition from July 9 to August 17. Teams and individual players may apply.

The 2007 BNSL site will be Millennium Park in West Roxbury. Games will be held Monday through Friday from 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. Divisions will include a co-ed 8 to 10 division, girls and boys under 13 divisions, and boys and girls under 16 divisions. Space is limited to the first six teams to sign up in each division.

In addition, the Boston Neighborhood Soccer League is looking for volunteer coaches and referees to work with the league this summer. Interested parties will need to fill out a brief description of past coaching experience, a CORI request form, and a SORI request form.
