Starting at the Swiss consulate at 420 Broadway (www.shareboston.org), you will have a unique opportunity to learn about climate change science and solutions by walking the 2-mile trail to various zones with interactive displays and experts.
- climate change basics: science and policy decisions
- climate change in the Andes
- impact of climate on glaciers and the built environment (Switzerland)
- citizens initiative to document climate change in the Northeast
- solutions and ideas to reduce emissions
The event will also have a hands-on experience for kids, showcase activities developed by Greenport (Cambridgeport’s green initiative) and offer the opportunity to learn more about green buildings at the Blackstone building.
The Consulate will offer to the first 250 participants a Swiss cookie and chocolate roll. A limited supply of brochures, DVD a.s.o. will be available for free at the 5 information posts
The Swiss consulate is proud to be a part of the inaugural Cambridge Science Festival, nine days of discovery presented by the MIT Museum to celebrate the impact of science and technology in all our lives. Other partners include Cambridge Walks, Green Decade, City of Cambridge and MIT Energy Club.
